I came to report something that I think is a bug, after facing Agumon Black and freeing his house on the map if you double click on him and take the gift or fruit he gives you, a bug occurs in the mission and he does not spawn in the Boot Jungle to be able to continue facing him and etc, in order to do the mission I had to delete my save and try again but without pressing twice this time
1. The battle mechanics are completely whack. It's a refreshing take on how to battle but imho just not a very good one. Especially against mons that are around your own mons level feel really bad and more often than not you just lose because the AI doesn't have to switch between buttons and has much more freedom to switch moves.
2. I'm gonna use an example here of when I was just training my Salamon in the sewers to get my point across. I'd be fighting Numemons in there and even the ones 5-6 levels down on my Salamon would easily 2 or 3 shot it anyways. This kind of mechanic was very apparent over every area where overleveling or type advantages wouldn't matter anything. This ties off of point 1 as well.
3. Taking care of your Digimon is just too much, it wants to eat every 10s if you let it. In the end it's basically almost never completely satisfied, it wants to play, it wants food, then it's just laying on the ground grumpy af for no apparent reason. Just doesn't feel like a well implemented mechanic.
4. The training mini game is complete and utter bullshit. So the arrow itself already moves in strides right, so it goes from one place straight to another with nothing ion between. As I was playing on PC I suspected there was something wrong as I also play Osu on a 6 stars and it felt off that it didn't land on the green most of the time i was sure I clicked right. I took it upon myself to investigate further and used CheatEngine to slow doesn the game to 10 and then even 5% speed. What I found is that even if you spam the hell out of spacebar and your click at the same time the game will rarely let you stop in the green to begin with let alone that the arrow even touches the green in a lot of cases. What I mean by this is that with the arrowing moving like it does it will just straight up skip the green zone altogether when it's the 3rd, 2nd and smallest green zones. Even if someone were to get good at the mini game it still feels shitty because it literally won't let you get max points.
5. It would be very handy if at the end of a battle the items you picked up had at least a tag of what category they are if not just straight up which item and what they do. I found myself looking around for what items were even supposed to do let alone even getting to where they're supposed to be at all.
Conclusion: This game has the potential to be great if it is presented less like a grindfest and gets polished around the edges. Type advantages should feel way more fair and the battle system just needs a complete rework, especially for pc it could at least do with bindings to the keyboard so it feels better to battle to begin with.
There's nowhere in the game that says it, but you can play the battles in the keyboard. Z is the first attack, X is the second, C jumps, shift blocks and space bar uses your special.
The game allows you to get tamer points to unlock skills for various things, for your training point, there's things to gain more points to the training, allow you to slow the arrow down, and increase the likelihood of getting bigger green areas during training, I play on my tablet myself, some of the items are harder to see than others but it's not impossible unless you are playing it in a small window, but as far as training goes, it's not very important to be perfect with it, especially when you get around ultimate level digimon, just increase their levels and possibly equip some gear to them, then tackle the card digimon, you'll get a lot of S capsules for training, the max I've seen is 500 points so it's not very high.
But as for the battling system, it's okay, after all I don't expect a rookie lvl 100 beating an ultimate or higher, but I do expect it to win battles in it's own evolution area maybe champions if the stats are high enough, but I do like that even at max lvl and a mega you can still be defeated by certain digimon, if the starting grind is too much as it does get dull after a bit, try to focus on the card digimon to evolve and explore new areas, or try to unlock the challenge area, it'll also add new characters to find around the world as you beat the challenges.
After uh, fifty hours (jeeze), I have an actual critique: because battles are so swingy and stats vary so much even between Digimon of the same level and species, it sometimes feels like the game just decides that you lose. My suggestion is to make blocking less efficient for the AI- it has perfect reflexes, it will sometimes just chain block you for thirty seconds and then smack you around while your block is down. (I'd also like more conveyance and NPC stats to be clamped, but that sounds like a lot of work.)
... also, Tinkermon's small sprite makes it look like she has a monobrow.
This game is amazing! Much better than many official games. I especially recommend it for fans of the first Digimon World, as it captures the essence of that game and adds a lot of original content. I didn't try the first game because I didn't know it, but I really enjoyed this one on my Android.
The only downside is that you have to grind a lot and that there is no Bearmon or BanchoLeomon (my favorite digimons) haha
I love this game so much!!! Especially the BGM being taken from various games of the Digimon World series. I don't think that's legal, but who cares, it's amazing!!!
Hey! I really enjoyed the game. It has some flaws and is a little cryptic sometimes, but I had fun exploring it alongside the internet.
I do have some suggestions to improve the experience, thou:
- Have the train from Log-In Village take you to Server City once it is unlocked. We already have the trains in these places, it will make shopping better.
- Have some hints on the requirements do recruit some Digimon. Maybe change the text from "I'm not ready yet" to something like "I'm busy right now, but I'll find some time if you defeat more challenges", you know?
- Do the game even has any sort of "ending" to the Agumon Quest? I think it would be nice. There's an NPC at the city implying an investigation. Will it result in something in the future?
- A button to replay the same challenge would be nice too.
- The option to leave itens and Digimon data behind after a battle would also be very nice. I have already deleted many folders of digimon I didn't even want to have in first place.
I believe these points could improve the quality of the game. I also would like to point that, as a brazilian, I really enjoyed the references in Nanimon dialogue and the Chapolin (The Red Grasshoper) itens.
Yes, I did all of this. My point is that after it Greymon says he will think about what he has done, Hina says she is worried "they" are coming back and... that is it.
The plot has no definitive ending. It seems something is still missing.
In Grindosaur you can find most things about the game. It's really good, but would be even better if there was a guide as how to unlock each character. Also I would like to congratulate DragonRod for It's work, hoping for new upgrades and more features.
its a very entertaining game, way too much grinding, age doesnt have that much of a impact on experience and leveling-training system consumes a lot of time, buts its a amazing digimon game overall keep it up the effort!
This game is great and has great aesthetics but I think there's still room for improvement, so here's my 2c.
It seems that there's no dedicated area to get beast digimon experience, the closest to that is the ice one but its divided with aqua which already has 3 areas going for it.
Lots of digimon to recruit lack any sort of info on what the criteria to recruit them is. Now I know this is reminiscent of the DW games but that's not really one of their strong points.
Kill requirements for U+ evolution seem a bit high. 7-10k kills? I think a player would need to get well over 100hs of grinding for that.
There's no use for tamer points after lvl 75ish.
Equipment after champion level doesn't seem to drop ever.
Age seems irrelevant. I can get some megas within 3 hours so instead of using the same mon for several days I change it when I get bored, hence I still haven't had a digimon die yet, also the tamer skills related to that never become relevant.
Suggestion: Data from digimon is very easy to obtain with the tamer skills unlocked so the box starts to get bloated and there's really no use for so many mons maybe add a chance to drop something like attribute exp?
The sound balance, especially for starting combat is pretty loud. Even lowering the volume on Sound Mixer below 10 makes it more of a 'normal' level. Would love future options of something between ambient and combat sound mixing.
If you're still confused, I just did. Here's the steps I had to take:
-Free Server City from the super strong MetalGreymon (I had to get a mega) -Recruit Xiquemon to City -Complete every challenge -Recruit Publimon in Sewer Road -Help Medicmon in Drive Savannah (he needs a rainbow soup, which takes a rainbow trout, which you get with a crayfish lure) -Cure Minomon and Kudamon -Battle Paildramon
how to recruit Meramon, Craftmon, and Gogmamon? like, seriously, people keep saying to clear fire mastery 1 and 2, I already beat all fire mastery and Meramon still has the same dialogue...the requirements are so vague it pisses me off.
Anyone managed to run this on linux through wine? I got a bunch of black boxes. I haven't used wine for a long time, and tried my usual winetricks and prefixes but didn't work.
Loving it so far! You aren't highway robbed to simply travel anymore, you can have way, waaaay more Digimon, you can even turn off death! Only thing We really want to see return from the 1st game is the praise and scold buttons in the menu. Other than that, maybe add some special foods for lowering friendship points? Like a negative version of the friendship apple? Maybe a grapefruit instead, since bitter things would certainly lower our friendship if someone fed us one. Keep up the great work!
Also, check out the first Digimon we got to level 100!
So...you liked getting highway robbed just to actually leave the lobby each time? That you couldn't truly just turn off death? That you could basically only have like 12 or so Digimon? No thanks.
I liked the first game but the grind in this one is too much. Worst than next order grind besides have dificulty issues like i fight a digimon at the same level and evolutive level and i lost because my stats are low even if the game doesnt let me train. I think you need to add more ways to get exp like a train that is not blocked by the level cap to only get exp or even increase the exp gained in battle or literally dont limit the trainings. Its just bad that i need to beat 18 lv 6 or 9 rookie digimon to level up 💀.
Loving the game, but the grind is way too much. Like, ENDLESS CHORE too much. I dont have time to be playing this for 4 hours straight only to get minimal significant progress. Can you down the grind so we dont have to put our lives on hold to play this? Lol Maybe an option to make it normal pace as opposed to the standard "Hardcore" difficulty you coded in? Lol
On Android, there's no way to stop the grind unless you root. Also, all mods that mess with speed on Android ruins the sound, as in you can't hear much other than bits and pieces of the music. Game killer is literally a game killer. (Edit: the mods that mess with speed can also actually slow your game down, this happens pretty frequently so it's not worth it.)
The problem is that its ridiculously grindy for not being able to do much to grind. Its way too much of a chore for minimal returns. It ends up being too much work rather than fun. We're not all basement dwellers.
If taking care of a weird pet is enough to be called a basement dweller, I guess pretty much anyone with a dog, cat, or otherwise is a basement dweller now.
You misunderstand. He's saying we have lives with responsibilities - add in the grind/time requirement of this game that we *want* to play and the point of fun flies out the window when it takes us 2 months to make progress.
Fair, but I do hope you all also understand that despite the grind, this is kinda what digimon started out as, a very grindy, very time consuming virtual pet
hi, sorry to ask but I really liked your work creating Digital Tamers: ReBorn and Digital Tamers 2 but I've been wondering for a long time but I had to ask, why don't you add a battle mode with bluetooth to play against friends and it would be more fun because you could even see people making inventions and mittings, holding tournaments and so on...
Here is a list of npc in my city Groundramon / Meramon / Craftmon / Xiquemon / Chikurimon / BlackTailmon / Burgamon / Weddinmon / Wizardmon / Mushroomon

the start is kinda slow, but it's a nice game.
Keep Updating the Game, Great Work
Still no vikemon 😭
I like a digimon good art
Dang it i wish there was a Linux port so i could play it on my Steam Deck.

Giant Koromon Questline.
1. He will appears in Village of Beginning after you recruited koromon (normal one)
2. He is in Boot Jungle
3. He is in Oasis
4. He is in Jagged Rocks
5. Now he is in Dina Plains. He’ll evolve into Agumon (Black) after talking to him and then we need to win the fight with him (Lv. 15)
6. After that, BlackAgumon’s House will appear on the map, go visiting and talk to him.
7. Back to Boot Jungle, fight him again (Lv. 25)
8. Go to Sizzling Desert, fight him again (Lv. 30), he will be sad after all his losses.
9. Visit Digimon Village and listen to some villagers’ concerns.
10. Go to Sewers, now he evolved to Greymon (Blue), fight against him again (Lv. 40) ** He has ultimate stage stats **
11. Visit Digimon Village again. Talk to all concerned Digimon then Piyomon will tell you to go to Mecha Plants.
12. Going to mecha plant isn't actually necessary. Skip to step 13.
13. Go back to the village and talk to Hina. You now can access Server City.
14. Go there, our good friend now evolved to Metalgreymon (Blue) and rampaging the city, we need to stop him. (Lv. 50 (?) + Mega stage stats)
If you have trouble following this, try grindng for more Digimon Defeated number first. Around 500 should be fine.
Yes, I did all of this. My point is that after it Greymon says he will think about what he has done, Hina says she is worried "they" are coming back and... that is it.

Is there any special places were you can find Seadramon's fishes? I can't get Digicarp.
Digicarp is a medium fish. You need to use the appropriate lure. Using lure for bigger fish will not spawn Digicarp (It took me a while too)
I realy love this Game, i can grind a lot and use a lot Digimon.
I was a fan of DTR1, but 2 makes the same or maybe more fun.
Im happy for every update this Game become, hope for a endboss fight, like in DTR1 😁
This is one if my fav Games all the Time💯
its a very entertaining game, way too much grinding, age doesnt have that much of a impact on experience and leveling-training system consumes a lot of time, buts its a amazing digimon game overall keep it up the effort!
Is the game compatible with Samsung S24?
I get the message that it isn't compatible when I try to install it, in my device.

I will try it on SteamDeck, and will update you.
Updates: Using Proton 9.0-3, I did not find any issue initially, will need to extend the testing further more.

My digimon died
Lezgoo
the previous version is better
So...you liked getting highway robbed just to actually leave the lobby each time? That you couldn't truly just turn off death? That you could basically only have like 12 or so Digimon? No thanks.

Sounds like a whole lot of skill issue
Sounds like you're a jobless trash with no better use of your time
I really wish there was an option to pay more (maybe 10 times more) for some better chance or quantity of items fetched by mons in town.
It is a useless grind to pay 1000 bits, wait 15 minutes to get almost nothing.
Add the option to give 50k bits for triple the items, it would be balanced and fair.
Yes, still trying to get a walking stick from snimon
Loving the game, but the grind is way too much. Like, ENDLESS CHORE too much. I dont have time to be playing this for 4 hours straight only to get minimal significant progress. Complaining about grinding, in a franchise where the entire premise is taking care of your world ending pet so it grows big and strong.. Lol.

Any chance this could get fixed with the next release?
Hold blue emergency load button in that one menu with new game and continue

Wow that was a quick reply, thx!
hi, sorry to ask but I really liked your work creating Digital Tamers: ReBorn and Digital Tamers 2 but I've been wondering for a long time but I had to ask, why don't you add a battle mode with bluetooth to play against friends and it would be more fun because you could even see people making inventions and mittings, holding tournaments and so on...
I think it's because you need money to run a server and as a fan game that isn't exactly easy to do (only speculation correct me if I'm wrong)
Please help me I have a feeling my game might have a bug
I have completed almost all quests but Ludomon and Publimon quests won't spawn
My Tamers level is 100 and I have cleared all the challenges.
The last NPCs encountered were Wizardmon and Mushroomon
After that, I didn't see any more NPC
Help me please
have you built kuwagamon's shop yet?
I got it long ago
Here is a list of npc in my city Groundramon / Meramon / Craftmon / Xiquemon / Chikurimon / BlackTailmon / Burgamon / Weddinmon / Wizardmon / Mushroomon
Where's medicmon and supplemon, there's more quest to do
Digitamamon also
I don't see them spawn
Medicmon's quest requires Ludomon's quest to be completed first
I didn't find Ludomon
And there's MetalTyranomon too
I think you need more wins
I have up to 10K, is that not enough?
Yes
No, it's definitely enough.
How to unlock the central hospital
When wiIl the dev fix 32 bit compatibility, I can't reach wave 30 in tower bc it's keep crashing and I lose my progress. (Not only in tower)
Although Seraphimon and Sakuyamon's sprites are shit as f..., the new Myotismon, Lucemon FM and Lilithmon are so awesome! I'm in love with them.
Now that is a good sprite! Its from the vital bracelet.
And that is the actual one
Well, We like the way it looks.
This is going to sound stupid, but... what's wrong with the Seraphimon sprite?
